Gomal Zam Dam

In 2018, IDC joined a project funded by USAID to provide consultancy services for social mobilization and capacity building of farmers under the Gomal Zam Dam Command Area Development project. The project aimed to improve livelihoods and reduce poverty in the region through modern irrigation and farming practices

PatFeeder Command Area Development (PCAD) Project, Balochistan

IDC, in partnership with Sheladia Associates Inc. (USA), completed the PatFeeder Command Area Development Project in Balochistan in October 2000. The project focused on rehabilitating the PatFeeder Command Area, including reconstructing watercourses, increasing agricultural and livestock production, and establishing farmer groups for sustainable operation and maintenance

National Program for Improvement of Watercourses and Water Storage's Tanks (Baluchistan Component)

From June 2005 to December 2007, IDC worked on the National Program for Improvement of Watercourses and Water Storage Tanks in Baluchistan. The project aimed to address the effects of a prolonged drought in the region by improving water infrastructure and enhancing agricultural productivity

Feasibility of Rainwater Harvesting in Urban Areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to Augment Water Resources on Sustainable Basis

In 2003, IDC completed a feasibility study on rainwater harvesting in Islamabad and Rawalpindi for the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR). The study aimed to evaluate the potential of rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge to address water scarcity in these cities.

 Fourth On-Farm Water Management (OFWM)

In 1996-1997, IDC experts worked on the Third On-Farm Water Management Project in Peshawar and D.G. Khan. The project focused on improving water delivery and agricultural production through construction supervision, design review, surveys, and training of Water User Associations.

Balochistan Water Supply and Sanitation ProgramEx-Post Evaluation Mission, Pakistan (2002 to 2003)

IIDC team member alongwith M/s ARCOTECH Consultants of Spain have participated the Ex-Post Evaluation Mission for the Balochistan Water Supply and Sanitation Program, Phase II with European Commission in 2002.
Major activities carried out by the team included evaluation and assessment for the provision of appropriate infrastructure for water supply, provision of appropriate infrastructure in sanitation, the mobilization towards community organization and maintenance and the heightening of the population’s awareness of health and hygiene.
